Montepulciano is a fortified town, perched on a hill that marks the watershed between the Val d’Orcia and the Val di Chiana. The connection between viticulture and this land has an even older history.

We are in the southeastern area of Tuscany. Here, oak and chestnut forests blend with cultivated tuff plains, clayey undulations, and former marshy plains. A heterogeneous landscape, where vineyards have found their home among the hills. It’s an enchanted place, preserved over time, keeping its authenticity intact. Far from the noise of the metropolises, tranquility reigns supreme amidst breathtaking, unspoiled panoramas. The population density is low, which contributes to making the countryside of Montepulciano an oasis of peace and serenity. The protagonist is undoubtedly the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, our most iconic product, which is born among these charming valleys, dotted with vineyards.

Today, Montepulciano attracts visitors from all over the world with its wonderful historic center, embraced by three city walls built in different eras.

Walking through its narrow streets, one can embark on a true journey through time, reaching those golden centuries when, for the beauty and magnificence of its buildings, it was renamed the “Pearl of the 1500s.  The public, religious, and private buildings were designed by the best architects of the Renaissance, transforming the fortified town into a special place to express art, making it worthy of rivaling Siena and Florence.
